What You Should Know About Stealth Hypnosis
You may find information on stealth hypnosis by doing web searches for books, videos, dvds, etc. Or you can sign up for courses that may be offered in your area. There are some things that you should keep in mind about stealth hypnosis, also known as conversational hypnosis or covert hypnosis.
First among these is that before you learn it you need to have a good basic understanding of hypnosis and how it works and why people respond the way they do.
There are a lot of people practicing and teaching hypnosis who will tell you that only a small percentage of people are susceptible to the deep levels of hypnosis that are necessary to exercise the kind of control that characterizes stealth hypnosis. This is not true. Virtually everyone can be deeply hypnotized if you know the proper techniques.
Something else to keep in mind is that people who are in a state of hypnosis give off various signs that let the hypnotist know that they are in hypnosis. One clear sign is increased blinking or rolling up of the eyes. Another sign is blushing around the throat area. If you notice these and other telltale signs, you’ll know that your technique is working.
Then you can test the depth of a person’s trance by suggesting to them that they have forgotten something such as a number or a color or what day it is. If they really have forgotten them, they are in a very deep state of hypnosis referred to as somnambulism by experienced hypnotists. Though they may look normal and alert, they will be in a highly suggestible state and will accept your suggestions without objection as long as they don’t put them in danger.
The advantage you will have if you use stealth hypnosis is that your subject won’t know they are being hypnotized and won’t have put up any resistance to your subtle induction of them into a deep trance state. This gives you much more control over them and will enable you to more easily get them to do what you want.
